I'm relatively new to gaming and have just bought Elite Dangerous at the behest of my son. Pls change file extensions from txt to jpg once downloaded I've also added a couple of Jpg's (ED Options) showing my selection and basic flight settings. So moral of the story - does the T16000 and TWCS work OK with the Thrustmaster Control Utility. (If you are using the slider on the T16000 Joystick I think it should appear as JOY U) Just to be sure I attach the joystick bind file I've just used successfully (HCSPacks 16000 FCS Hotas). I then went into ED checked that the binds file was selected and applied then went again to the basic training mission - this time everything worked. I also checked that the latest Firmware update was installed using the Utility in the same folder. After 2 mins of frantic scrabbling behind the PC and withdrawing and re inserting the usb connectors I got response from the Control Panel Utility. I then selected the TWCS Throttle which appeared and selected properties with no response at all from the device. I selected and ran the T.1600M which appeard and selected properties - all axes and buttons worked fine. I therefore went to Start/All Programs/Thrustmaster/TFlightHotas folder and selected the Control Panel utility installed there. The Joystick worked but the Throttle didn't. I'm concerned and gone back to my ED and selected the HCS T16000 binds file and tried the Basic Training mission. There is a YouTube video about using the Joystick Curves utility and its set up You may want to adjust the joystick response curves once instalkled and without using the Thrustmaster TARGET software have a look at 'Joystick Curves' link and discussion here HCSPacks T16000M 2.2.binds the link for which is here If you are using HCS Voice packs they have a binds file and some good advice There are a number of binds files available for download in various places se discussion - first page contains one.Ī number of binds files are suggested including (visual) and thanks to Gunner Bill on first page of ED 1st ImpressionsĪnd my own attached to the thread plus others like dkgjlh.binds. Personally I always set up my control bindings from scratch, so I never used any Thrustmaster presets, and although I see that preset option when I go to Options > Controls I don't use it, but I suspect it is part of the Custom.binds file, as there is no physical file in the folder with that name. binds file is missing (or otherwise corrupted), I'd suggest you open a ticket with support as they could presumably send you a new / replacement. Do you have this file? If you have renamed any files in this folder through windows explorer you could be confusing the game, as the filename is actually taken from within the file, so if you have, at least for the time being change it back. Inside that folder should be a file called Custom.2.0.binds. Users > Yourusername > AppData > Local > Frontier Developments > Elite Dangerous > Options > Bindings Your control bindings are at the following path: You say that you've uninstalled the Thrustmaster stuff from the correct folder. That is peculiar, that windows clearly sees the device, but ED is having problems.
